Alignment-based asanas (poses) are the foundation of my Purna Yoga classes. The intent is to safely and effectively stretch and strengthen the body as a way to enhance physical well-being as well as bring calm into the mind, and love into the heart. In addition to asanas, meditation and pranayama (breathing with intention) will also be explored. Postures and adjustments will work to bring balance to the students and the practice. Nurtrition is a critical underlying factor in health and may be discussed upon request or intermittently in class.
Drop in students are always welcome. Come to meet new friends and join the thriving Atlanta yoga community!
Private sessions are available by request in individual or group settings. Sessions may be held at the student’s home or a site can be provided if necessary. Rates depend on students’ needs and goals. Pre-natal, theraputic, meditation, or any other kind of custom session can be discussed. I am teaching a private class for ladies in a bachelorette party: anything is possible!
Group yoga is a great way to build morale with staff and help employees to manage stress and improve health. Corporate wellness programs including yoga can help prevent hip replacements, osteoarthritis and symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. Yoga, as a holistic approach, helps to instill a sense of balance in one’s work and personal life, and can help to unite the mind, body and spirit with breath, meditation, and asanas (poses). Low-impact classes can be held on-site at your office and will be customized to work with your staff and available space. Classes may be held in the mornings, at lunch, or after work hours. Yoga in the workplace has many other benefits including:
